Default Spun mount bolt repair?

Hello, all body mounts removed except # 7, cage is like new, bolt is 3/4 out before it spun. Is there any way to repair it with the body on using the original cage? Thank you, Al

I don't think so. That cage and nut aren't even easy to spray penetrants on to. You might try getting as much thread lube on here as possible and then thread it back in a little. Might help lubing the threads in the nut a little. Might be enough to get it out.

I was thinking of getting some vise grips on the cage nut to help draw in the sides of the cage itself so it would stop spinning. Thank you, Al

You might be able to jam a screwdriver or small prybar in beside the nut and screw the bolt back in some and then use plenty of lube.

Pry the cage off and put a wrench on the nut. Then find one of your non-car friends that is of good size and wrap the wrench with a towel. Then get under the car with an impact and hold the trigger until the bolt breaks or the nut is separated...

Which one are you calling #7? I'm guessing the front of the rear wheel well?

[img]I used this to hold the #4 (rear or the rear wheel well)

Came up with something a little better for re-installing

You should be able to mouse something up to hold the cage nut until the bolt snaps or screws out
