Re: *** March Serpentine Conversion installed, PICS!!! *** (groovyjay)
Very nice. You went for the full gusto on this one!
You won't be long now.
I have some more Vintage a/c photos from my old photopoint account I would be happy to send you if you like. My buddy is putting the finishing touches on his 71 compact V/A a/c system right now as well.
BTW, are you running power brakes? If so, that left rear valve cover will have to be chopped down a tad.
Re: *** March Serpentine Conversion installed, PICS!!! *** (69Myway)
69Myway: Thanks man, all the pics possiple would be great. Yes, I'm usin PB, but I'm fitting smaller diameter booster so that the valve covers should be ok...
Re: *** March Serpentine Conversion installed, PICS!!! *** (groovyjay)
Jay,
my car is NOT coming along :( I am lacjking parts here & there and the customs are not helping. They're sort of "on to me" (they found out it was a little curious that someone gets stuff labeled happy birthday every week or so and that the constant flood of "evaluation samples" isn't normal either)..so a bunch of parts are caught up at the customs and they're trying to figure out the amount they want to stiff me :)
What are you going to run? A hydrobooster? Me too :)
Re: *** March Serpentine Conversion installed, PICS!!! *** (groovyjay)
No, it runs off the PS pump you have. The pressure & return lines are simply T-ed in.
A smaller diameter booster? The C4 booster will probably fit. (haven't tried, I did find out the C4 MC will fit w/ a little grinding, haven't checked the measurements for the booster because I made up my mind about the hydrobooster)
The hydrobooster gives you much more powerful brakes.
Re: *** March Serpentine Conversion installed, PICS!!! *** (Twinnie)
Twinnie: You really got me thinking now, where did you get yours? Who sells them? Any websites? :smash: 74vetteman: Thanks, I really wish I was installing something like Twin turbos here, but I'm not :( . Maybe in the future... :blueangel:
Re: *** March Serpentine Conversion installed, PICS!!! *** (groovyjay)
Nice set up! Looks like you have one heck of a project to finish. That heater box block off plate is nice too, really a good idea...wish I would have done mine like that. As for Customs (tax generators), they suck :D
Re: *** March Serpentine Conversion installed, PICS!!! *** (groovyjay)
MassVette: Do they make their own stuff? That set up looks very similar to mine.
Actually, the brackets and pulleys are totally different. They make all their own stuff. Most of their market is for show cars.........
:yesnod: :chevy :chevy :yesnod:
Re: *** March Serpentine Conversion installed, PICS!!! *** (groovyjay)
groovyjay -- what are the part numbers and descriptions of everything you ordered from Summit for the March seprentine conversion? I want to do it, but don't know which kit and whatnot to get. :smash:
