Have been running the Flowmasters for 10 years now (Delta flow 50's) great sound and now starting to rust out from the inside so it's time to change them out. Just wondering if any out there running the stainless version of the 40's or the super 44's. I know they are more aggressive sounding, just how much... couldn't get a good sound bite off their site and not interested in the magnaflow or other brands...thanks guys for your imput...

I think the 40s sound great. One of my friends has them on his car and they are great. Don't think you will be disappointed if you go w/ them. See if anyone around you has them so you can hear them. soundbites on the internet never sounds the same as in person.

Darn! I had a brand new set of Delta 50's I took off a few years back cause I could'nt stand them....but I'm 99% sure I pitched them last time I cleaned out the garage attic. I never had any 40's but the ones I have heard on others cars are too loud and drone monsters!...at least imo

And listen to a few cars in person, with a similar engine and exhaust system as yours..... its very subjective.

If you like the 50's, you can buy them again. They were too quiet for my liking.

I even replaced my 40's with Super 44's- I really like the 44's muscle car sound when I get on it, and wish I had swapped them in sooner. I get lots of compliments on them- about 1 1/2 times more aggressive than the 40's in my opinion, but certainly not obnoxious nor anywhere close to straight pipes.

...... but they're not for everyone. Good luck with your choice.
