with the higher priced kits you usually get more complete kits and better quality parts, and sometimes better instructions. The key is buying from a reputable company and checking the parts list and description to see if the kit will do what you need. dont buy any generic kits and expect much.

I have had a B&M in my 81 stock for about 10 years now and no problems but others swear by the TransGo.
Sooooooooooooooooooooooo.

I had a B&M years ago in a nova ss with a turbo 350 trans and it worked great for 12 years. Currently have transgo in a ford mustang gt and a gtand prix- both are good!

far as shift kits a regular trans go kit is a must in a th350 it replaces worn springs in the valvebody it holds 2nd longer the b and m just makes it shift harder combine the the 2 it works great

I've used the transgo and B&M kits as well and like them both.

Tranny Kits are sold in stages of "Improvments" The better ones have a valve body plate, springs, and new *****. Taking the time to polish the moving parts and casting in the valve body are worth it. The whole problem is ultimatly the inherant weakness of the TH350. Mine as power went up and using slicks on the drag strip........... It blew chunks in the pan and it was steel not just clutch dust and aluminum flakes.

Rock hard shifts in an instant come with a price!

Racing my bike in the rain is more fun!

Since it seems to be auto shift kits you're talking about, and not entire manual or auto tranny rebuild kits, have some experience here. I've done both B&M and Trans-Go shift kits, and feel the Trans-Go kits are a bit more advanced. TH-350 & 400 kits install pretty quick. For 700R4 tranny's, pack a lunch, dinner, and have a DVD/TV availible.
