Hard to believe I started this project in March of 2011 and haven't gotten it done yet but as most of you know, work, family, other projects and good old procrastination sure can delay a project.

The last few weeks I've been working on cleaning up and painting the LS1 and 4L65e along with touching up the chassis etc..

Coupled the motor and trans together w/o the torque converter so I could do a test fit. Looked a few places on the YouTube and one guy suggesting putting the motor and trans on the floor and shoving them together. I decided a couple of cheap harbor freight furniture dollies would make it easier since this was a solo effort. I cut off a couple bolts and rounded the ends to help the alignment.

Next I picked the whole assembly up and lowered it into place.

Even the dreaded water pump clearance looks pretty good.

Not a great shot but the crossmember I got from Josh went in nicely with just a little tweak to the bolt hole sizes so there was no binding on the bolt threads.

I wasn't going to mess with the rear end since I don't have the paint on hand but decided to do a test fit of the offset trailing arms, coil overs and lower struts that I got from Van Steel.
