Bumber replacement?
What's the best way for me to go about replacing the front and rear bumbers on my 79? what is the best replacement? and from where?

i am going to go with truflex from corvette central. it has more give to it than fiberglass but does not warp like the urethane factory bumpers and you dont have to add a flex agent to the paint so the colors should match.corvette central also has the new retainers that you will need,order there catalog it will show a exploded view of the mounting of the bumper

Killian, I went with the Eckler's Flex Fit bumpers. The front fit was perfect and the rear fit was also good. I tried the Tru-Flex rear bumper. The fit was off by much. I couldn't get it to line up at all. I ended up returning the piece of sh**. However, that was just my experience. Although I know there are more CF members that did not like the quality of their product. I think if you do a search on this topic you will find much info. Good Luck. L8TER, Paul.
