So... working on a customers '74 in my shop that has been sitting for years. This is a NON-AC car... just a simple heater box. The relay is not the standard metal relay that screws to the box/firewall. This one has a nice plastic socket & must have had a plastic case on the relay. Now gone & relay is all smashed up so not really usable. Wiring appears to be factory in that area but this is a diff one for me. Anyone seen this? The local part houses & the big corvette part vendors all want to sell the old style steel cased relay. Oh...& the pin is opposite position on the single blade side from all the photos I've looked at for the metal relay...
YES!! That looks like it... Where can I get one?!? From the looks of that photo, there is another blower relay down lower & off to the right?!? Is this relay for something else?

That is the seat belt interlock switch. In 1974 the ignition was disabled if you did not have your seat belts buckled up and turned the key. That switch restores power to the ignition.
The fan/blower relay is indeed down lower and to the right. Pete's pic shows it as well.
Thanks for this info, i also have been wondering what i did to that plastic clip. I cut the wires for something years ago and cant remember what i did it for.
