I'm thinking of installing the Year One 350 (400h\400tq) withthe Edlebrook heads next month. Has anyone used this engine ? and what carb., distributor, headers, ect did you use.
I would use a 650 or similar cfm carb. You can use the same distributor that is currently in your car. You will have to look at what heads come with the engine. You may have D shaped exhaust ports. If you already have headers, you can make them work. If not, I'd get some with the proper shaped exhaust ports.
I think you will really like the Year One 350. They are really nice engines.
I have that engine with the vortec heads and a Demon 650 carb with mechanical secondaries in a 74 and its a blast to drive. I also run an HEI distributer with hooker headers going into true duals. It is a 4 speed Muncie with 3.36 rear gears. Considering a 5 speed soon.

That's a good price or that engine. With the Dart iron heads it is $500 cheaper. This would make a great cruiser! I like to see comparison of parts btn the Year One and a comparable Blueprint engine as these seem to be the deliver the most hp/tq on a budget.
I'm hoping Keisler comes out with the SS700 wide ratio soon, I like that gear combo better than the TKO 500. I hear it is better shifting from 2nd to 3rd.
