Ignition off...wipers still work?

I was looking for a water leak yesterday and turned on my windshield wipers while hosing down the t-tops. I then realized that the keys were in my pocket.
Isn't the wiper motor supposed to be live only if the ign. is turned on?

I've been finding alot of interesting electrical mods from previous owners lately.

Are you sure the cylinder was in the off position? If so, sounds like a bubba mod.

I would say you have a "bubba" issue.:smash:
Mine definitely do not work without the ignition on.

I second that.....mine don't at the moment !

then again I only have to worry about 4 inches of windshield due to my hood ! :lol: :lol:

Mine also work with the engine off, key out and wiper switch off. But... sometimes to get them going, I need to smack the wiper motor with something. :D Bubba was here too. :)
