Default Door switches

OK, so I did a search and read several threads, but I've found conflicting info...

I just need to know what the door switches in my '75 activate. Are the switches up front (near the door hinges) just for the interior lights, with the driver side also activating the buzzer. And are the switches toward the back (below the striker) for the alarm and door ajar light?

I'm asking because my door ajar light won't shut off, and the alarm goes off when I try to set it. I figured they are probably related...

Thanks,

Sounds right
There is (was) a small rubber bumper on the door that hits the switch on the rear (below the striker bolt) Sometimes it's missing/slid down/up/sideways and doesn't press the switch all the way.
Trip the switch manually and see if the ajar light goes out.

There is also a switch under the hood that works the alarm

FYI. The switches at the front of the door are different in length from the ones at the rear of the door on my '74. I needed to replace the front switches and my local Autozone had the ones for the rear listed as what I needed for the front. Take the switch you need to replace with you when you go to the parts store.
