I found hidden under the shift boot an ignition kill switch. It is not currently hooked up. What is the general consensus? Good idea or a waste of time because it won't slow down a real thief. Getting ready to pull the dash to redo the Htr/Ac system and fix the firewall wiring junction. Be a good time to either hook it up or remove the unused wiring.

Not all thieves will have their ducks in a row and the truly brazen who try to jack your ride, should pay a small penalty if all the motor does is either nothing or crank with no start.
It's one reason why I never allow a valet to park my ride. I slide him a 5-spot (hey, it's Colorado, not L.A.) to show me where he wants it and gives me a little peace of mind. Has kept the joy-rides to nothing and I keep the keys. I haven't been turned down... yet.
