Default Cast Iron Monster or Dud?

I'm looking for cam suggestions to help make this combo work if possible. This build is not typical to say the least hince the title. I'm building a 385 with EQ235 64cc heads, KB135-040 pistons, and 5.7 full floating rods. I'm calling this "Project Frankenstein" because all of the parts are from all over the world and everything needs replaced. Even my steering set up is foreign to the car. My intake is one of the old style 2101 "cheater manifolds" so called by circle trackers and weren't very good for a street 350. I've port matched the manifold to a 1206 intake gasket and it looks like it'll will handle whatever the 385 will ask. I picked this intake to keep my factory breather and hood and to keep it an "old school sleeper". I'm down to the brain of this combo and am looking for sugestions that might make this combo "LIVE!" I have a couple of cams at my disposal. The XE262H and a Magnum 292H. The 262 should give a cr of 9.64/7.97 straight up or a 8.19 with 4* advance. A 8.19 might be too much for cheap gas and cast iron heads. Squench is at .043. The 292 will have a DCR of 7.32 with 4* advance. I thought of using Rhoads lifters on the intake side to give it a better 7.63 or more and with only half the lifter noise and possibly a little more lowend torque. This looks like a dual pattern cam at low end-282/292 and .504/.534 lift and a full 292/292 and .534/.534 on top with 1.6 roller rockers. Seems comparable to a lot of new style roller patterns. Exhaust are 1 5/8" huggers with a modified 2 7/8" collector flowing in 2 1/2" pipe. I'm hoping the dual plane and huggers will help with low end torque. Gearing and stall will be adjusted to engine requirements. Thanks to any suggestions or comments!
