Default Firebird headlight motor conversion bracket measurements

I am currently restoring a 78 Corvette, I was looking for an alternative to the vacuum headlights (as vacuum sucks, lol) when I found the Mcspeed brackets online, but sadly these brackets are no longer available. I have been working on fabricating my own brackets and have ran into a snag. The arm is not long enough to lock the head light in the up position, but when in the down position it pushes the head light up a quarter inch. I can't seem to find the optimal positioning for the motor on the bracket so that it is not hitting the top of the housing, locking the head light when up and closing all the way when down. If any one could provide me with the measurements for the holes on the Mcspeed brackets, or ones that they have fabricated themselves that have worked it would help out tremendously. Also any tips on insulation would be greatly appreciated.
