Default Purging cooling system???

I just finished my cam install and was wondering what's the best way to fill and get all of the air out my cooling system. Any thoughts?

Fill it up to about 3" below the top of the radiator. Have your heater on max. Start the engine and as it heats up the coolant will circulate and the air should rise. Assuming this will be during the cam breakin period so watch closely. As the level goes down some, add some more until as you are running it is about 1" below the top of the opening. Cap it up, fill up the overflow tank to almost max. When the engine cools it will suck in what it needs to fill the system.

I usually pull off the heater hose at the intake and fill untill water show there. Put the hose on an top the rad and then start. The last thing I want to be doing on the start of a new motor or doing a cam breakin is fooling with water. The above method should have most of the air out of the block. There was a lenghty discussion on this just a short time ago.
