Hi again..... today i was replacing the shift boot on my 77 that I ordered from corvette central....that doesnt fit at all (any help with this?)I noticed that when I put it reverse to take off the boot that my blower fan for the heater etc... started working???
When I moved the slide ove I heard a bunch of clicking coming from the blower area???
I one of my earlier threads I said that my blower fan doesnt work?
I have no idea where to start with this
First place to check is the blower wireing, specifically the ground. It is in the Main Engine harness and should end up on a bolt on the bell housing or starter bolt. Many times when the starter gets changed the ground lug ends up on th elarge terminal for the battery cable on the starter. It will affect the wipers and blower motor, but usually not anything else.
It doesn't burn anything because the blower motor and wiper motors are mounted in fiberglass.
Start over ,, make sure boot is in right it should be tapered, one end will be wider then the other ,, and when you take it apart make sure all the connections are in place and not pinched ,
So total newbie....what color is the ground wire?
Diehard thank you for the response...I did what you said but the boot frame is at least 1/4 in too big for the opening.
Thanks for your responses.
