I've had problems with my headlights since I bought my car. The headlights would pop-up, but very slowly. Two minutes was not unusual! Due to my work schedule, I have put this problem off until now. Well, 2 days ago, they completely quit working, payback for my neglect.
Seems to be a problem with the large tank. Vacuum was present at the input, but neither outlet had vacuum. I figure a leak or clog somewhere in the tank. So, I bypassed the tank and those headlights popped up as if rocket powered. What is the purpose of the tank? Does it just store a vacuum for the headlights if the engine is off? Has anyone else had this problem?
Although the headlights now work, I feel bad for doing a Bubba job. :nonod: What does fixing this tank rate on the PITA scale?
clean and strip the tank to find the leak....disconnect everything the pressurize the tank slightly then apply soapy water solution to find the leak or......cover with a rubberized product like gutter seal in a can.
