Getting ready to in stall my dash after several years. Found a stray wire. Orange wire, main dash harness passenger side at the corner. It has a socket that looks like it came out of a connector, but none of the connectors are missing a wire.
Ideas?
If it is on the passenger side, behind the dash, in the corner.....it could be the glovebox light. There should also be a black ground wire not connected to something. This would be the ground.
Your glove box light should be a switch with a push button and the bulb as part of it.
It could also be the courtesy light down by the fresh air duct. Again, look for a disconnected black wire.
Got the glove box light, ctsy light and everything else ID'd in there, this one was hiding behind the harness and I didn't see it until I was ready to put the dash pad in.
All the connectors are full.
I did some checking, it gets power from the CTSY fuse. From the books I have it looks like a second power for the door locks depending on the options for the car. I taped it off since it didn't look like it was required anywhere.
Thanks for the help
