Basically that's all you need to know, if the pressure valve on the high pressure side is not correct you can always use the old one out of your original pump.Just make sure you get the press on pulley and make sure you have the correct puller/press to swap it over, without the correct tool you will never do it. Whole job should takeless than 2 hours, had mine off three times in three years, easy peasy.
Just to reinforce the point. You must use the correct tool that grips the groove on the pump pulley and reacts directly against the pump driveshaft to remove the pulley. You must also use a tool that threads into the end of the driveshaft and draws the pulley onto the shaft.
The correct tools can usually be borrowed or rented from most automotive stores or they will do the pulley swap for you.
Use the incorrect tools and you will bend the pulley or break internal parts in the pump itself.

Any Saginaw. If the driveshaft is completely smooth (for a pressed on pully) and the driveshaft end has a female thread (the thread may be quite deep inside the driveshaft) don't go pressing on the shaft and reacting against internal pump parts.

I meant do I need a specific type as replacement or is any saginaw ok ?
buy a new one... its not worth the headache... i replaced 3 "rebuilt" ones over a 1 year period... all under warranty... but I still had to take the day to do the grunt work... a new one is less expensive then some of the rebuilds here... and i got one made in the USA!!!
