I've updated the Members area of the website :) and added those of you who have joined in the past few months. Sorry I got so behind. :( If I'm missing anyone, please resend me your data. I need a picture, vehicle specs, forum handle, city/state/country, real first name, e-mail address & website. :seeya:

I had a few people helping me with a new logo for the club - one which is not a blatant reuse of Georgia Tech's logo. :eek: We need something which is our own artwork so that we can get some T-shirts and other items made up for Yellow Jackets club members. I've had quite a few requests for stuff the past 6 months, so I think there's enough interest to make it happen. If anyone is good with artwork - please feel free to create any ideas you might have for a new YJ logo, post them here, or send them to me so I can post them for feedback from the club members. I had someone helping me (Mike at allure design) but his e-mail has gone bust. :( And I haven't heard anything in a few months. So this is a plea for some artistic help! :) I've also posted this to the other forums & OT. Maybe if we can get a few ideas together by the end of the month we can hold an official vote for the new logo. :yesnod:

Also, if anyone else out there wants to join the Yellow Jackets Club - just send me your specs and I'll get ya online & into the club! :) Everyone who is using the YJ logo & avatar really should be a member and I would like to have your info online on the YJ website. :)

I just wanted to thank you for all the work you've put into our little group's web page Juliet. Sorry I'm not much help to you with regards to art work for a new logo, but I would be interested in a T shirt if and when they come out tho.

 

hey,new comer to your site but, corvette forum for a few weeks, i am spanning the globe for a 1980 or 1981 yellow vette,don't want to go much more then ten, but want one that was originally yellow even if needs paint, heart set on yellow with oyster interior.or any nice interior color, i don't know if this forum is just about yellow vettes but would love to join your discussions while my search continues. thanks lenny nycpd

But ... Juliet ... what if we like the logo the way it is? I would pay good money for a t-shirt with the existing logo.

If it's not broke, ... etc.

 

The problem is that 'buzz' is the Georgia Tech official mascott / logo. In order for us to use that on club merchandise and sell it, we'd need to get permission from GT. This would probably require paying royalties etc... And frankly, it's not really worth the effort / hassle. That's why I'm hoping we can come up with an ORIGINAL artwork logo where the copyright / trademark / whatever issues don't have to be dealt with. :) There are a few very artistic folks working on some ideas. I hope to put it to a vote early July. :) ~Juliet
