High blower relay- Does it control anything else?

High blower relay- Does it control anything else?
I noticed I had no air coming through when I turn the dash vents when the switch was turned to high..On low and medium setting it would blow, but nothing on high..I found a wire loose on the relay on the passengers side in the engine compartment was loose, conected it and shazam.it works now..
My question is.. does it control anything else? I noticed last time I drove it in the fall no heat, nor did the ac work...The fan would just blow outside temp air, reguardless of the hot/cold control wheel setting? Any thoughts? Its on my top 20 to do list.....soon..
