Well I have a Vortech supercharger on my 1995 vert. (love it)
I see they have kits avail for the 454. This would be a viscous ride.
Anyone know how they fit up to a c-3? Or has it been done im sure it has!
I know from prochargers brocher that its been done on a small block or least i think it was a small block, i couldnt wrap my head around were you cold put an intercooler. Im all ears on this one though. I know that you could run the meth injection to fight detonation.
I looked at this in some depth on my BB a while ago - very, very tight - generic kit as supplied would need to sit over l/h or r/h A arm - this would need to be a custom tubular unit to even stand a chance of getting it under the hood - then you have the issue of where you position the intake to the blower - then the same issue of trying to route an intercooler - its a real challenge. I asked the question on here a week or so ago - has anyone mounted a Procharger/Vortech blower off the nore of the crankshaft. The consensus was NO . responses suggesting turbos or top mounted Gimmy type unit. I still believe that with some cross member surgery a remote water pump and electric fan set up (and possibly a custom radiator) it is possible - would certainly tidy up the top end of the engine compartment.
