Hey! It been a while since I came crawling back here. I'm working on the 8 body mount bolts , currently been soaking them all week. fuel tank , all lines, Interior, drive train , column and electrical harness all removed. my question is , can I pull the body with the front bumper still on after removing the 8 bolts connecting to the frame? I was under the impressiong some guys leave the bumper on the body and use to jack up to take stress off the front clip? Can someone please clear this up? Thanks in advance! I'll post pics soon!

All depends if you want to split the car in half of just raise the body to change body mount.
I did a full split, and I removed the bumper assembly first. It's a heavy piece that would have stressed the front clip when lifting the body.
To do so first remove the bumper cover (big big PITA) and you'll find one big bolt on each side that hold the front clip to the bumper.
Alse: Don't forget the ground strap near driver's #1 body mount and the antenna ground. They can be easily overlooked.
Ok, thanks a bunch, bumpers will come off, still debating leaving the doors on or not. I definitely want to separate completely and I have the plans to build a wooden dolly . maybe it will be apart in a few weeks if im lucky. fun stuff. thanks again!
