Default Tire size combo for wheels

What tire size combination that will fit on 18x8.5 (front) and 19x9.5 (rear) wheels? Looking for wide tires. Thanks all.

I purchased General G-Max AS 03XL (all season) tires. Rear: 275/35ZR 19 from Tire Rack. My wheels are replica C6 wheels (like the 2005 base C6 corvette) in black chrome finish. I purchased 2.5 inch wheel adapters for the rear wheels and will test fit once the rear tires arrive this week. They also have 245/40ZR 18 for the front which I will purchase later this month. My replica wheels measure 18x8.5 front, 19x9.5 rear. There wasn't too much info on this forum about what size adapter to use or how to find out so Im going the trial and error route. As for the tires, the front tires are the same size as the stock C6 tire size. They did not have 285/35R 19 of this brand so my rear tires are 10mm less in width than the stock rear tire size. I will purchase front wheel adapters after I purchase the front tires.

I tried to match my 18" wheel combo as much as possible to he stock wheel height.

My 215/70/15 were around 27" tall

For 18's I run 245/45 font 255/45 rear.

Overall height is just und 27 for front and just over for rears.

Mine ore on 8" rims though.

Use one of the online wheel tire calculators to do your comparisons.

It looks like you will most likely end up with a 245 front tire and a 275 or 285 rear tire. Something to keep in mind though is you went with 18s and 19s so if you try to match the stock tire height of 27" you will have a 1/2" less sidewall in the rear. When looking at the car from the side that can be noticable and IMCO doesn't look right. You might want to try something like a 275/40-19 (or 275/35s about 1" less) in the rear which is about 27.6" tall and a 245/45-18 (or 245/40s about 1" less) in the front which is about 26.6" tall. Then the sidewall height will match.

I've got 18x8.5 front and 19x10 rear, not on the car yet. Just picked up 285/40/19 for the rear and will be going with either a 245/40/18 or a 255/40/18. They are only roughly .3" difference, but the 245/40/18 puts the front 2"+ smaller then the rear. Not sure if this will be too much "rake" 28" and 25.7" (245) 28" and 26" (255)

Not sure if you overlooked something in my reply. I did say I purchased 275/35 ZR19 tires (10mm less width than the stock C6 tire size) for the rear since they did not have 285/35ZR19 tire size. I also mentioned I will purchase the 245/40ZR 18 tires (stock tire size for C6 front wheels) They will match and give my vehicle the rake I desire.

Post 'em up when you get them mounted. It'll be quite some time 'till I do mine. Curious how they look and how those size spacers work out for you.

You're human and you are suupposed to give commoments. It is my guess that the general put a taller tire on the front wheel (40 series) b/c of the smaller 18" wheel and a shorter tire (35 series) b/c the larger 19" wheel so when looking at it from the side they tires appear to be at the same height and it gives the vehicle a slight rake. I chose the combination b/c they look about the same height. The rear tires arrived today and im going to have them mounted and balanced tomorrow and test fit them.
