Default 1975 Corvette - hate the mirrors!

My 75 Corvette has the chrome manual mirrors that just suck. Even when they do stay in position (which is not very often) you can see squat out of them. I have seen threads on how to tighten up the mirrors (which they need) but I just really hate these mirrors. Are there any other mirror options for a 75? Anyone have any links to where you can buy them? Really need something I can see out of and will hold their position. Would love to have something with a cable that you could control from inside the car...

I put the corvette sport mirrors on my 75. They came out in 1978. The only downside is they sit lower than the chrome ones so more of the rear wheel well shows.

What did you do to put them on? Do you have to do a lot of alterations?

Yeh, my Previous owner put them on further forward on the car, I added one on the pass side....the later mirrors are the way to fly...those chrome things suck seems that EVERY time someone walks by the car, the things are outta adjustment, talk about a PIA.....

BTW, I use bubble stick on mirrors, and use RTV to keep them in position on the adjustment crap.....also aid the bubble stick ons from falling off with the double stick tape they use....

You can install C5 or C6 mirrors.

Default sport mirrors

If you decide to go with the sport mirrors, have a set I'd like to sell.

I had them put on during a repaint, but based on this other post it looks like the holes don't line up.

What year are yours off of? Do they have the cable? If you have a photo I would like to see them, and let me know how much.

I have had several different year Corvettes, closest to my 75 was the the 78 I had, but it had electric sport mirrors and you could zero those in to where you needed them to be. With manual mirrors it is really difficult to zero in. I just don't like driving down the Interstate and not being able to see down the sides. I have the same problem with my Ninja 1000, you can't see squat out of those mirrors.
