Default Temp Sensor

Just a quick questions, been working on my rewire work and when I went to plug back in the temp sensor on my 1971 I am having a hard time hooking it back up. I bought all brand new harnesses, but the connector for the temp sensor does not seem to be big enough to hook up.

Am I doing something wrong?

Also, if someone has a picture of how the horn relay is hooked up I would appreciate that, I think I got it right, just want to be sure.

Thanks,
Jay

Are you sure you have the correct temp sensor on your 71? When I bought mine, I assumed it was the correct one. When I got a new harness, I found out it as for a different year and had to get the correct one.
I think for a 71 you need the "Thumb tack" looking end on the sensor.

Is there anything I should know about replacing it? Is there going to be any fluid that leaks out if I take it out?

Thanks,
Jay

If I remember right, yes. Fluid will come out. May want to change in conjunction w/ a coolant change. I took mine out during an engine change and now have it on the intake of my zz4.
