Mini Starter Questions??
It looks like the old starter is having trouble with the heat and zz4. I seem to have to tap it every once and a while to get it going. I am looking for a new starter and saw the gm bow tie unit. Has anyone used this on a 14 inch flywheel with the offset bolt pattern? How does it work? Does anyone using it have problems with heat soak? Any info and recommendations are welcome.

I am running a GM mini starter. I got it for 100 dollars. It is used on the 502 motors so it will turn over anything I have. I have seen some guys get them off some truck motors and have good luck. Mine has no more heat soak at all. I am running a big flywheel also.

That would be the one. I got mine from redvetracr here on the forum. He had a couple on a special deal. He is out of them now. Mine works great. Sounds :cool: too.
