Lower control arm shaft removal

Lower control arm shaft removal

How difficult is it to remove the lower control shaft with the motor in? Will a socket fit on the bolt head that goes through the tab on the crossmember?

It is not hard at all. Plenty of room. The only one that is hard is the upper control arm w/ the radiator in the way on the forward bolt. Not hard, just have to move radiator.

Thanks ...got the motor out and was looking at the bolt that connects the shaft to the crossmemember ....looked like it might be hard to get to with the motor in

Imho...

I can tell you my 72 rear lower control arm bolt was tough to get off after 40yrs.

IMHO, better to take it off or at least loosen it while you have more room.
