i am needing to replace my idler arm on my 82.it looks easy enough, any thing i need to know?

go with the moog.it seems to be better able to stand up to the elements.compared with the original delco,which might come from who knows where now.

Yes, make sure you pop the center link BEFORE you unbolt the arm from the car!!!

Just like any C3 project, you need to stock up on cusswords before you start to work. You don't want to run out of them before you finish the job. You'll be needing them.

I JUST got mine off. Yes, pop the joint first. Then you can remove the nut from the bottom easily. The long bolt is a carriage bolt and the frame holds it. The top one on the other hand.... Its a PITA. At least with one person it is. I was able to feed both my arms down there with an offset wratchet wrench on the nut and a regular wrench on the bolt. Its one of those one click at a time deals. With two people you could have a helper hold the bolt up top while you can easily hit the nut underneath with a ratchet. Straightforward job overall though.

it may be spring on the calender but it is cold around here .its too cold too work on the car .
