First, check the fuses. I believe my 69 has a seperate fuse for directional signals. Look at them all though. If all of the fuses are ok then replace the flasher. :chevy
You might want to check the connector at the base of the steering column. If you kicked it or it somehow came loose you might not have the connections to tell the turn signals to come on. A long shot but it might be the problem.
Doesn't sound like a bulb. When part of the bulb goes the inside indicator light does not flash and stays in the on position. The outside bulb does the same.
