Lateral pin with a clip on the end, about 3/8 diameter, and through a fork coming off the booster shaft, and on either side of the flat brake pedal arm.....simple enough to get that clip off the pin and remove the pin.....
You maybe see something very similar for a clip on your carb under the hood, much smaller, obviously.....
So you enjoy wedging yourself up under the dash to fish that clip onto the clevis?
Guess you "Old Guys" need that kind of frustration and pain to remind you your still alive.
I removed mine a few weeks ago and replaced it with a Hydraboost system. The removal took less than half an hour. I removed the pin from the brake pedal first then the 4 mounting nuts. It was an easier job than everyone made it out to be.
I always read this to be one of the worst jobs to do on these cars....it never dawned on me until my wife brought it up that normally the people doing this are taller, rounder, and generally older than me.
One of the few times I'm glad I'm a more compact person than most.
I'm 5'3, 145lbs (mostly muscle, but its been reverting to fat since I separated from the USAF back in August), and 30 years old....it wasn't that bad at all, just not really enjoyable.
