just wondering if anyone has put center hung bowls on a 6210. i know holley made an 800 spread bore with center hung bowls. i know the accelerator pump discharge on a regular center hung bowl is in a different position. wondering if i could plug and redrill the passage. any other constructive ideas for this carb? i am not intrested in thoughts on a quadrajet, i already have one. i used this carb before and the throttle response is quicker, again i don't care about comparing it to a quadrajet.
I read about a guy that said he made one work after he contacted the holley folks and they told him it wouldnt, I never followed it cause it was something beyond my interest . sorry I cant be more help.
You actually answered your own question and it is as simple as plugging the old hole and drilling the new discharge channel in the metering block just a bit to the right and down. You also need to make a very slight modification to the gasket to match the hole.
You didn't say and I'm not asking why, but there is nothing to gain from this modification from a performance perspective. It's easier to adjust floats, but on the original bowls, once they are set it's not like they take a lot of follow-on maintenance. And the transfer tube -pain in the *** that it can be- flows more than the needle allows so nothing's happening there either.
oh i know all that, the dual feed only makes float level easier to check and adjust . but its different and that works easier for me than a bmw v 12 engine lol.
