Default Door Adjustment....how??

My driver side door has a "rattle" (like the door is not COMPLETELY closed) when I drive down the street with the window down. The door lines up flush with the body, and hangs correctly. The door opens and closes properly...you don't have to slam it to close it.

I figured the striker bolt was mis-aligned. When I move the striker bolt around, the noise seems to be sporatic...it comes and goes...depending on the road quality. Also, when drive with the window up, the noise disappears.

Am I on the right track by moving the striker bolt (in and out ...up and down) and it's going to take some time to get it just right? OR are there any tricks to aligning the door?

I think your problem is in the window, not the door striker.
Power or manual windows?

I agree. What you hear is probably the glass. Are the fuzzies in good shape?

Remove the door pannel and take it for a ride , you should be able to hear where the rattle is coming from then.

Before you start tearing things apart you should try pulling up on the door to see if there is play in the hinge bushings. If they are worn it will sound like the door isn't latched all the way.

Took the panel off and drove around....the noise is definitely coming from the back part of the door! Everything in the door was tight and secure. Spent some time adjusting the striker bolt a little at a time....now no rattle and no noise!!!
