Default Another Long Diff/Tranny story

Diff ratio and tranny to sort out.

Tranny:

Was looking at a 700r4 or 200r4. Mainly 700r4 race manual reverse shift. So that would be

p
R
1
2
3
D

Right? Want it as a race manual so it holds that gear like a manual does.

But when the numbers coming in:

3.06 first x either 3.9 or 4.10 for diff = not good ( looking at 255x45x18 tyres)

My modern 10 plate v8 (ls2) car is 3.02 x 3.45 ( diff ) 255x40x19.

Would the 200r4 be better ,as x4:10 rear,

I mainly shift at around 3k ...so

3k 1st around 35kmh
2nd then down to 1800rpm

For the speeds around my area ( kph) i try to have the tacho around 2400, so in power range.

Engine will be a ls3 480hp creat motor with a 1800 converter. ( trying to find a h[/torque graph for that motor.

Does the 2004r need mods? other than new shaft and x member.

why are you looking at anything race related if you are shifting at 3K?

it was just the way the internet site called it. Some places say this or that for the same thing.

After alot of looking, decided, the 200r4 with a 3.9 diff. 255x45x18.

Just didn't like that 3.06 1st of the 700r4.

Manual auto is a must. Bto tranny's look ok, any other places can recommend.
