75 coupe emblem question

i have a 75 coupe that i need replace the L82 emblems on the hood. can anyone tell me how to gain access to the emblems. i checked under the hood the only place a see to get to them is a plate that has four bolt that holds the hood release pins on to the hood. is this the plate i need to remove to get to the emblems.

The 75 AIM shows the emblems are adhesive backed and stick on. There are no acorn nuts behind them.

get some monofiliment fishing line and work it behind the emblem to cut through the adhesive. then pull it off.

Wow that fishing line trick is awesome.Great idea I would never have thought to do that I have to remove a stuck on gas lid emblem and will give it a shot
