81 running rough.

81 running rough.
I got a 81 vette auto. When it first started up it idle smooth. But if you drive then come to a complete stop it start running rough. It drive great under load but the second it stop for a red light or stop light it runs rough then if i dont give it gas it will die on me. Once i start it back up it still runs rough and try to die if not gas is given.
Could my coil be going out on me?
Could it be the fuel filter?
Could it be i f up by removing everything that was apart of the air pump?

Fix the problem at the cost of my damn tranny. It was a vac leak but as I was giving the vette a final test drive the damn throttle got stuck and killed my second gears. First gear are good if I can get pass second gear to third Im good. If there was no bad luck I would not have any luck.
