I droped my Dad off today to get his truck from the shop (new muffler) and I heard something rattle around (sounded like a rock) in the right hand wheel well as I pulled out of the shop parking lot. When I got home and turned off the engine I heard a hissing sound. I was parked right next to the hose and thought my son had been playing with the hose again so I turned off the water and relesed the pressure from the hose. The hissing continued. It was my right rear tire loosing air. A F'in nail got my got my sidewall really good :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad . Took it to a tire shop and it cannot be fixed. I am so pissed right now because I have to shell out the buck to buy two new tires (I always replace tires in two's under these circumstances). Oh well there goes $250.00 I don't have. Now I have a great excuse to not drive and start my front end rebuild. The guy at the tire shop is going to do my alignment when I get done for free if I buy my tires from him. Goodyear GT II's 255 60R15's What do you guys think of them??

P.S. These cars are magnets to stuff like this...whats up with that. I never have sh*^ like this happen to my other cars. If a nail gets my other cars tires they get in the tread. Why does just one nail ruin my Vettes tire sidewall? I just don't get it????????

These things tend to go in cycles... don't they? I mean you go for years without picking up a nail... and then all of a sudden... WHAM!! You're getting them every other day. Anyway it always amazes me when guys say they can hear air hissing out of a nail hole. Hell... I can't hear the phone ringing anymore
My car is a shiiiiit magnet.....any piece of shiiit falling off the back of a truck, or a Juncker with parts falling off will be immediately sucked into the path of my car.....of course I'm boxed in by two other Junkers.....Bam.....two new rims and two new tires. Later, another piece of junk takes out my front spoiler,.....or a plastic bag gets sucked up my spoiler and blocks off my radiator.....or worst yet, catches on my headers and burns.....Nails????...I don't get no freaking nails....I get complete exhaust systems with the mufflers still attached..... :mad :seeya Cappy
