I was crusin arround on ecklers site and i found that they have longer spring bolts to lower the rear suspension. so my question is there an easy way to lower the front suspension without going ghetto and cutting the springs or throwing them in the oven and weakining them? the rear suspension is the worst as you can see by my sig. pic, but i figgure, hell i'll do the whole car if i can.

Dittos to above comments. I installed a VB’s monoleaf to lower my shark, because the LT1 was so much lighter than the L48 SB and to increase the handling. It’s an awesome setup.

eventually i am doing the transverse spring up front and the fully adjustable rear also, but im spending all my dough on paint and interior right now. bolts dont cost that much and while i could cut the spring, i dont want that bouncy ride that most lowered imports have.
Re: Lowering the front suspension ('79ProwlerOrange)
It shouldn't be bouncy if you cut the coil - sounds like it is only temporary until more $$ come through. It will take some trial fits if you cut 1/2 coil at a time. To lower it 3/4 in should take about 1 coil (off the larger coil ends). Do a search and a few threads will come up.
I have 490lb ft and 300 lb rear - not too bouncy, not too stiff ......just right! :)
Re: Lowering the front suspension ('79ProwlerOrange)
I originally cut half a coil off my VB touring coils, it lowered the car 1" or so, also loosened 3 fillings  go with the glass spring

How much is the spring?? $$$ If money is no object, buy the spring.
Hack saw blade, pack of 3, $3.89. I cut 3/4 of a coil using a cutting wheel and lowered my front end about an inch. It took about 2 minutes to cut through. Start small, you can always cut more. If you screw up, buy new coils-- cost is $48/pr. Right now my front fender lip is at 26.5inches.
