Wiper help?

My wipers on my 79 vette are not working nor have they ever worked while I have owned the car. I was wondering what the first steps were in finding out what is wrong.

check that power is getting to the plug on the wiper motor.

Verify you have ground on the motor first.. You'll find a black ground wire that will plug into the lower passenger side.

Next test the wires at the motor plug and see if you have power on the middle wire.

Then I'd tear in...

Believe it or not there is a ground wire on your counsel that effects your wipers. It's by your cigaret lighter. Make sure that wire is hooked up and grounded.
