Default 77 window roller problem

i have checked my hyans and assembley manuals and they dont offer a very good explanation as to how to get this handle off.

it is the driver side window roller and it is skipping. if i push it in then the window will go up or down.

i am thinking that something just has to be tightened.

i know there is some kind of tool that has to be used to get this off.

anyone know a place where i could get a good description of how to do this? also where i could get this tool and what it s called would be helpful...
thanks in advance!!

the window handle is splined and mates to a splined shaft...it is held on by a circlip.if you press on the door panel and pull on the door handle, and look real carefull you may be able to see this circlip in a slot on the inside end of the handle..there is a special tool to get clip off handle,,fairly cheap at any auto parts store,,,better than using a screwdriver !..what happens is the cheap metal of the door handle strips the splines and it slips while using handle..you need a new handle....hope this helps..
