Default New Holley 750 install

I just replaced my edelbrock 750 with a holley 750 vacuum secondaries. I changed thevacuum secondary spring and the power valve to a 35 due to my low vacuum at idle.. I have a big cam. start car this morning pull it into shop. Remove edelbrock. Install Holley, had to relocate some vacuum lines. Ok i'll get to the point. Went to start car turns over a few times then shoots a flame couple a feet up. Then it never tried to fire again. So I think maybe carb is faulty. Put edelbrock back on. Would pop a couple a times but no start. Well by this time i'm scratching my head. Pull a few plugs they look good. ok then. check timing #1 tdc all good rotor to #1 plug wire. NKG plugs all look good. Had my old set of autolights, cleaned um up and put them on. Car fired right up. Adjusted timing. Pulled edelbrock carb off, put holley on. Fired right up. Checked timing a gain, fine tuned carb. It runs great now. Go figure?

Sounds like it was flooded , and fouled the plugs .
