Finally found a set, opened it and am a little unsure about how to get them in....
Each one of the 2 looks like is made of 2 thinner pieces as seen in the picture. Is this done to have a thicker layer of aluminum by stacking up 2 thinner layers OR do I have 2 sets of gaskets here?
Also, does it matter which side of the gasket goes against the header flange and against the motor? Not sure if it can be seen from the picture but the top side edges are rounded and smoother, the bottom the edges stick out along with the bent.
I don't remember how they go in. I didn't have much luck with percys. I hope they work better for you though. I ended up going copper which didn't work any better. Once I stacked a set if victor reins nitro seals against the copper they sealed up. Seem to be holding up. Good luck with your project.
Just put a set on my 94 mustang gt convertible with bbk shorty headers with grade 8 locking bolts. I mounted the Percy's with the smooth side against the header-was confused as well. Seals well and no leaks. Seemed to work! No instructions from Percy s!! Nice.

Good to know, thanks! I will have the same setup, stage 8 bolts are patiently waiting to go on. I just hope the 1inch bolts dont bottom out, looks like it will be close.
