Default New Ball Joints and Shocks

Going in today. Ball joints have 227K mile on them. Time to replace. Moog. Shocks have about 40K on them. KYB's. Formerly Monroe Sensatrac's. Hopefully will be a better ride. This is a daily driver for commuting mostly on a beltway, so not interested in performance handling. Being done by a local shop. Don't have time to do myself.

I'll be doing the ball joints and LCA bushings on my 80 next week, so I'll say a couple of extra curse words for you if you'd like.

KYB's that I had on all 4 corners were rough riding, I went rear plastic 360 spring from VBP, and later on got smart and bought some Bilstein Sports for all 4 corners.....

HUGE IMPROVEMENT!!!!! the ride is MUCHO Better....

Went with the regular KYB's, not the Gas Adjust and the "special" KYB's from VBP for the composite spring. Let's hope.....

Well, the KYB's are giving me a nice ride, considering 31 year old suspension technology. And the new ball joints really tighten things up. 227K miles on those suckers and mechanic said they were really worn. Replaced with Moogs so they will out last me at this point. Of course, car seems quieter and faster now also.

Larry, that is some amazing mileage on your 82, and who said C3's weren't reliable and couldn't be used as a daily driver?????
I'm sure you get another 227k with no problems..... Tom

I just keep repairing those things that need repairing and all is well:

motor
starter
alternator - 2x
a/c compressor
radiator - 4 core copper
all sensors
injectors
85 fuel pump
tps
brake calipers - 2x
master cylinder
spark plug wires - Mangecor
plugs - 3x
control arm bushings
ball joints
shocks - 2 x
tranny rebuild
seats
steering wheel
carpet
t-tops - thanks to a large rock
rear wheel bearing assy
differential
differential bushing - poly
parking brakes
ignition module - 2x

Know I have missed something, but my wallet did not miss anything.
