Hi everyone, I am new to this and just wanted to say thanks to everyone who can help me out. Yesterday while driving my car it was running great for 45 mins and all of a sudden the motor and whole car came to a sudden stop. So i attempted to restart the car and it turns over twice and then stops trying to turn over. Any ideas? Thanks
Both the stopping and turn over could be a dead battey related to a non-functioning alternator. Did you notice the reading on the battery gauge before it died?
Step 1 charge battery, Try to start car , if it starts and runs, check to
see if alt is charging, if not replace alt. If it doesnt start go
step 2.
Step 2 spray starting fluid in carb to see if it starts. If it does, you
either a defective fuel pump or a clogged fuel line/filter. if it
doesnt start then go to step 3.
Step 3 if still doesnt start pull spark plug off plug, pull back coating,
hold next to metal. crank car to see if you have spark. If not
then its most likely your ignition module in your distributor.
