speedo cable,valve covers
Hi all. I installed a new speedo/tach a few weeks ago. Now I have the speedo needle jumping around, which I didn't have before. I read here somewhere that the cable needs to be lubricated. What do you recommend?
2nd question. My valve covers have the bolts down the center of the cover, not on the flanges as all my other SBC's. What does that tell me , if anything?

1. You dont want anything getting into the speedo head. I believe a graphite lube on the trani end is ok and recheck that everything is connected fully.
2. It tells you those are not the original heads but would need more info, casting number etc. to say what they are.
