Chrome Oil pans.

I have heard a number of bad stories about ppl putting the chrome oil pans on with leaking issues. Anyone get one that doesn't have this problem. I am currently assembling a new engine and I guess that this would be the best time to put one on if I were to desire so.

Personally I've never seen chromed sheet metal (oil pans, timing covers, valve covers) that didn't leak.

They look great, but you need buttloads of RTV to seal.

I'm chimming in with the Dude on this one. I've never had any chrome engine part that would seal worth a darn.

I got a crome one anD it doesnt leak but its very inacsesable dificult to clean your money is best spent elswhere.IMO

Have a chrome 7 quart kickout style that has never leaked a drop....I can't understand the relationship with chrome and leaks :confused: Maybe I'm just lucky :rolleyes:
