Any chance somebody might have a picture an installed circuit breaker used in the power window circuit on the '74 and '75 year models? I need to see how this bugger is mounted and wired. I'm installing power windows so there is nothing there currently.
74, the breaker mounts under the hood on the inboard side of the support for the brake booster. It's just a standard breaker with 2 studs for power in and out, a small tab to mount it. Like this one: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/bs...FaZFMgodtHEAAg
I have a 71 and have seen them mounted in two different locations. One on the side on where the master cylinder mounts (as show in one of the photos) and the other on the firewall just left of where the one in the photo shows it. My AIM shows it on the firewall. Somewhat confusing.
I am putting power windows in my 72 and on the firewall there are two indents and that is where you drill the holes for the circuit breaker. I do not know if 73 would be the same my 69 with power windows is in that location.
Interesting that this part is called a circuit breaker and not a fuse. Can it be reset (like a circuit breaker in a home)? Or does it have to be replaced if there is/was a short? Also, if one window works and the other does not, does that eliminate the circuit breaker as the source of the problem and then I can move on to testing the switch of the affected window? I know that the motor works because I jumped it directly from the battery.
