Default Create engine install Q's

My Blueprint BP38313CT1 long block should be here any day and I've started to think about doing the actual install, and came up with a few questions.

My original plan was to just swap over the intake and carb (rebuilt) and retain the CCC and AIR systems. It runs fine now and although opinions vary, it appears that the stock carb should work fine and perform admirably if well maintained.

As I've started to disassemble my stocker for removal, the parts for the AIR system are just toast. I'm not required to have this as we're not subject to inspect on this old of a vehicle, so I'm now leaning toward dumping it. I think I still want to keep the CCC for now and also let it supply the TC lockup for my new 200R4 transmission. I'm also now thinking about 2.5" dual exhaust and no one has a package that is AIR compatible.

So, my questions are:

- If I remove the AIR system, any negative effects to the running of the CCC carb? Check engine light?
- Any other items I need to consider if I'm keeping the CCC, intake and carb from my stocker?

I'm fairly capable as a backyard mechanic, but I'm certainly not a technical expert...so if you have any other things that I might not have thought of that will nip me in the butt, please feel free to let me know.

Thanks!
