What's up Guys? As I'm nearing the end of my '80 build, I wanted to run this by some of you. I'm ready to order a complete leather interior, and even though my car came with the 2" pleat on the seats, have any of you actually compared the difference with the 4"? I was looking through the new CA catalog, and the 4" looks a bit deeper (maybe more lateral support?).
Keep in mind that I was never a slave to authenticity with this particular build, big power, big brakes with a "sleeper" type of goal in mind.
Any and all input will be appreciated........Vince

I don't think the difference is that noticeable. I may be wrong, but from 2" and 4" seats I've seen, it seems to be more a matter of where the seat's French seam is, and not necessarily a deeper cushion or higher bolster.

If your recovering your old foam, go with the 2" covers, and save some money. If you need new foam, then go ahead and order the 4" foam and covers.

I've had both and found that the 2" is actually more comfortable. More **** room, I guess.

I also had problems with the 4" tearing a bit when the seat was folded forward.
