Default Engine Casting

I came across an engine block.

Looking for some input on what it is:

Casting# 3999289
Casting Date# K11 74
Other Casting # I see: GM 10 1
I also see CONV cast into it too.

There is no vin stamps or date stamps on the front pad.

What I think it is:
A Chevy 454 Block, that was cast on Nov 11 1074, for Conventional Fuel use.

Based on what I've provided, is there anything else that you can tell? Am I right in my decoding?

Yup. The casting number would be correct for a '73-'74 Corvette but obviously the date is too late. The same casting number was used across GM car and truck lines.

If there's a number after 'CONV' that indicates which conveyor line the block was cast on at the Tonawanda plant.

You got it. That casting number began with late 1971 models for 454 engines.

The -289 casting is sought out by many, it's one of the better 454 blocks...
