Default Coolant leak on 74

Ok I've been noticing a big drip of coolant I cannot get under the car to see where it is yet my jack stands are on loner to a friend but from the top the water pump looks good housing ok where could it be from the bottom is it possible the timing chain gasket is leaking ?? Would coolant be in there
I just wanted some suggestions before I go under it on Saturday

there is a weep hole in the bottom of the snoot on the water pump.if you can feel it ,and it feels wet ,you mite need a new water pump.

I felt the water pump All around all dry could it be leaking around the crankshaft pulley

Could be a corroded welch plug on the front or side of the block.

No, There is no coolant there.

If I had to put money on it, I would bet its the water pump. That's the most common source for a minor leak. The next place you're going to look is the rad hose connections and heater hose connections, but in my experience hoses tend to fail in spectacular fashion, not with a slow leak. After that it could be anything.

Yup it was the pump gaskets leaking right near the bottom going Down the side oh well put new gaskets and a water pump she's all good old pump prob still good

Well still got a bit of a leak on the passenger side gasket cleaned everything before I installed new pump have you guys ever doubled up on these gaskets ??

Did you seal the gaskets with anything, like RTV? I'm not too keen on the idea of double gaskets. Get some nice thick Fel-Pro gasket material, and make your own gaskets, that's what I do.
